History
After over 2 years of patent development the company was founded on July 5th 2010 by Dr. Oliver Kormann. The Austrian Government and the federal state of Salzburg supported the KORMARAN project through the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
In 2012 Kormaran welcomed a new investor and partner: Peter Daniell Porsche.
The Kormaran Konzept was announced on the MYS 2014 for the first time as a new technological concept & invention, as highly developed hydrofoil. 2016, the prototype was exhibited at Top Marques Monaco.
2017 and 2018, exhaustive functionality tests, longlivity and stress tests as well as further speed trials of prototype 2 with @40 knots have been executed on lakes around Salzburg in Austria. Recupement of full ownership of the company by Dr. Oliver Kormann in 2019.
Sadly the covid pandemic and the delivery shortage in the years 2020 until 2022 delayed the operational restart. During that time of challenges, the technology was continued to improve.
2024 marks the start of the serial technology development of the KORMARAN K7FE, an unique limited first edition production series of Kormaran boats.
Production is progressing on the demonstrator for customer test drives in Austria on lake Wolfgangsee, available for customers to be tested in summer 2025. Dr. Oliver Kormann owns 100% of all patents, the worldwide trademarks and design protection rights.
