INNOVATION AWARD 2016
KORMARAN shows courage by implementing new ideas into practice, leaving usual paths and setting new standards. The result is the development of a new and highly complex class of boats. A revolution in boat construction. These efforts were honored with the Business Award Innovation 2016 of the Federal State of Salzburg.
This award has been established for outstandig enterpreneurial and innovative achievements in Salzburg. Innovations provide uniqueness in the market, intelligent economic growth, employment and prosperity.
The Oscar of Innovation goes to Kormaran.
KORMARAN won in the category „Innovation“ with the development of a new class of boat, the Kormaran. Taking a boat trip on a stormy sea Dipl.-Bw. Jutta and Dr. Oliver Kormann had the idea to develop a boat that combines the advantages of various watercraft technologies. The innovative watercraft Formula 1 technology come for use with aircraft technology, but also expertise from the boat building about the America’s Cup.

GAME CHANGER #1
The Salzburg high-tech company Kormaran has developed a unique boat class – and thus caused an international sensation. The luxury watercraft Kormaran K7 can switch between them its function – even while driving. A total of six different shapes, such as catamaran, hydrofoil or bathing island, are possible through the use of new technologies and production methods.
RED DOT DESIGN AWARD 2013
In the category „Brand Design & Identity“, the award „Red Dot“ for high design quality, expressing aesthetics, innovation and precision in an exemplary manner, is presented to KORMARAN.
Kormaran builds exclusive watercrafts for yachts. The 3D logo reflects the high quality of these vehicles. The corporate design positions the brand as premium with impressively elegant, dynamic and exclusive products. At the same time, the design of the logo and the new tagline “Redefining Water crafts”, create a connection with the company’s innovative capacity. The colour scheme, dominated by turquoise and the specially created “Champagne Pearl”, combines with the minimalist tone of the communication to emphasize the brand values.
CERTIFICATE OF WORK AND FAMILY
Since its foundation KORMARAN gave its employees the possibility to combine their work and family lives. As an expression of this commitment KORMARAN takes part in the workandfamily audit of the ministry of families and youth since 2014.
Workandfamily is a human-resource-management-tool for a sustainable implementation of a family conscious human resource policy. The audit captures the measures offered by KORMARAN, which facilitate the compatibility of work and family. Through its continuing participation in the audit KORMARAN signals the high significance of the compatibility of work and family. For its commitment to a family conscious human resource policy KORMARAN was awarded the Certificate of Work and Family.
